History and Ownership
The Chennai Amirta Hotel Management College was founded in the year 2000. There are more than 5000 students got placement in foreign countries and within India. Now 2837 students got placement in various 5-star hotels for the year 2015 to 2016. Chennai Amirta is the top ranked Hotel Management College in India.
Free spoken English classes are being conducted for the students and students can earn more than Rs.  10,000.00 /-  per month by the part time job. The college name is mistaken many times as ‘Chennai Amritha‘ or as ‘Chennai Amrita‘ and the correct name is ‘Chennais Amirta‘. The Chennai Amirta chairman and the current CEO of the institute are Mr. R. Boominathan. There are also Amirta International Institute of Hotel management in Trichy and Coimbatore which are run by different persons and it is not linked with ‘Chennai Amirta’.
The Institute becomes popular through the heavy advertisement on television and in newspapers. Many have even started to make fun of Chennai Amirta Ad comedy. But there is no cheating is involved. It is approved and well-known institute in India.
